features routes to antique stores and vineyards. The wineries web sites tell you when they have entertainment.

The tour may include the following:
- The Northern Route: A short trip to one of the oldest vineyards in Illinois, Alto Vineyards which has established a second winery just north of Champaign, Illinois, about 35 minutes from the Bed and Breakfast. (Click to View Larger Map) In additon to serving well-establish, fine wines, it also features a variety of music events and some festivals that blend well with the experience. Also Champaign features several antique stores including Good Time Antiques, Peckham & Associates, and First Street Antiques,(Click to View Map). Next stop you can visit several antique stores in St. Joseph, IL on your way to the next vineyard.
The Oakwood Connection: East of Champaign on I-74 and south to Fairmount, IL. Sleepy Creek Vineyard promotes art work and Friday evening "wine & weiner" events.(Click to View Map).
- The Arcola-Arthur-Sullivan-Findlay-Shelbyville-Stewardson Trail (Click to View Larger Map) includes Yoders Lamp Shop in Arthur, then B & J s Antique Mall in Sullivan. Next stop is Niemurg Family Winery, at Finlay, Illinois just 30 minutes from Arcola. Across the street is the well-stocked Arches Antique shop. The next stop on the trail is the attractive Willow Ridge Vineyards just 10 minutes west of Findlay outside the little town of Westervelt,IL. (Click to view Map) Down Rt 128, you will visit several Shelbyville antique stores: The Wishing Well; The Wooden Nickle; Fox s Corner; Jakes Antiques After leaving Shelbyville you can still visit Vahling Vineyards Winery at RR1, Box 51, Stewardson, IL 62463,(Click to View Map) where Dennis and Brenda Vahling have established a new tasting room that serves other alcoholic beverages.
- The Effingham - Greenup - Marshall Journey: See trail map... There are three charming vineyards on this trail. At Effingham the Tuscan Hills Winery, See map... the owners, Amanda Pitcher and husband-wife team, Larry and Annette Jackson introduce you to 11 different flavors of wines and provides a pleasant sitting area. You will find the Cameo Vineyards See map... in Greenup, Illinois, located in a charming, historic town. Dan and Sonya Webb have prepared a pleasant place for your visit. Afterward you can explore New and Used Antiques, The Cumberland Road Collectibles and Greenup Antique Mall.
On the journey back, go through Charleston, Illinois and visit The Copper Eagle and other antique stores.
A Pleasant Experience. The third winery on our "South Eastern" wine trail, called Castle Finn Vineyards See map... is located just off Route 1 north of Marshall, IL and south of Paris, IL. Look for the Blue State "Tourism" sign. Turn west on Bell Ridge Road (200 N) and follow the route and signs until you get to 1200 E. Turn south and find the wine tasting location at 1288 E., about 1 mile. You'll love the open space of the patio, the small lake, and the vineyard beside the river. Like other vineyards, Castle Finn offers several activities and events as part of their attraction. more...
- Another Option is to visit the Long Creek Vineyards that are located on Route 36 just east of Decatur, IL. It is open Friday 4 - 8 pm; Saturday 12 - 7 pm and Sunday 12 - 5 pm. They have a tasting room and seating outside on a patio. They also hold Scheduled Events for which they have a cover charge. View Larger Map
