Annual Arcola Broom Corn FestivalDates: 09/06/2013 - 09/08/2013
One of the biggest and most energetic festivals in downstate Illinois, the Annual Broom Corn Festival attracts thousands of visitors.
Starting in 1859, Arcola produced broom corn. By 1900 Arcola became a broom corn supplier for the United States. From that time the town likes to think of itself as the "broom corn center of the world." The town now honors that history with an annual festival that is one of the oldest and one of the largest downstate.
This well-known festival is a magnet for families looking for fun.
