English High TeasSure, you would expect that a Bed and Breakfast would feature Tea Time opportunities for guests. The Arcola Flower Patch serves several kinds of tea, including the highly coveted Harney & Sons Tea from Millersport, New York. Lynne's growing reputation as a tea hostess includes her recognition for creative recipes, including her special "Royal Coconut Cake" that was featured on the cover, and on page 52, of the May-June, 2008 issue of Tea Time magazine. While menus are constantly expanding and changing, some may include: Vidalia onion, lobster, or ribbon sandwiches on homemade herb bread, stuffed snow peas, lemon tea bread, walnut rhubarb, or Flower Patch apple bread with cranberries fresh gingerbread, rosemary biscotti, scones, gouda cheese with green pepper jelly pastery, along with herbal and exquisite tea served on fine English china. The Flower Patch lists a few "set" tea dates below; but, it encourages you to form your own tea group of at least 10 to 18 members and arrange a tea event that fits your schedule. The set dates are:
Traditionally the Arcola Flower Patch Bed & Breakfast serves high tea for the gathering of the Friends of Raggedy Ann. However, this year, the June 3, 2011 tea, (For More See...), has been cancelled this year due to schedule conflicts. Sometimes, you know, the vicissitudes of life intervene.
